Ignition operations on #HarrisParkRx have been completed, treating 278 acres. Smoke is still highly visible and expected to remain through the next few days. Firefighters will continue patrolling the unit into the evening and throughout the week. #SouthPlatteRangerDistrict

Harris Park Recreational Shooting Area and Forest Service Roads 108, 108.A, 108.B, and 107 are temporarily closed for public and firefighter safety. This order is in effect from Oct. 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to Oct. 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., unless rescinded sooner. Harris Park 2026 Halloween Trunk or Treat

Join us for our Annual Community Trunk-or-Treat in Harris Park! Decorate a Trunk and hand out candy to our local kiddos. Prizes awarded for the best decorated trunk! Dress up and strut your stuff for a chance to win BEST of the BEST in our costume contest. The Harris Park Community Center will provide us with a nice cozy spot where we will have Halloween style refreshments and WARMTH in the event it is freezing outside. Bring a dish and make it a Potluck! Both Indoor and outdoor activities will be available to make our kiddo’s Halloween a fun, safe, and memorable time. Happy Halloween, we look forward to seeing you all there!
