   TRICARE (Department of Defense Health Agency)If you’re a family member of an active-duty, retired, or deceased Service member, National Guard, Reservist, or Medal of Honor recipient, you may qualify. It provides health plans, prescriptions, dental and special needs programs.  

Family and Caregiver Benefits are available if you are the spouse, surviving spouse, dependent child, family caregiver of a service member or Veteran, and in some cases a disability related to your service.

Urgent Care(June, 2019 “MISSION ACT”) –be it with VA or with community providers: Eligibility criteria for community care:

         1) Services unavailable.
         2) Residence in a state without a full service VA medical facility.
         3) 40 mile legacy/grandfathered from the Choice program.
         4) Access standards-proposed new access standards to ensure
             Veterans have greater choices in receiving care.
         5) Average drive appointment wait times.  (Proposed 30 minute
              average drive time standard for primary care, mental health, and
              non institutional extended care services.  Proposed 60 minute
              average drive time for specialty care.  Proposed 20 day average wait
              time for primary care, mental health care, and non-institutional
              extended care services, and 28 days for specialty care from the date
              of request with certain exceptions). Eligible Veterans who cannot
              access care within those standards can choose between eligible
              community providers, or care at a VA medical facility.   Access to
              urgent (walk-in) care to receive certain services when and where
              they are needed. Co-payments may apply.
