HPMD Weapons Policy

HARRIS PARK METROPOLITAN DISTRICT
Possession of Weapons Policy on District Property

For the safety, and freedom of violence for all community members, residents and visitors of HPMD, please refrain from possession or use of any dangerous weapons on district property.  A license to carry the weapon on district property does not supersede district policy.

“District property” is defined as all District-owned or leased buildings and surrounding areas such as sidewalks, walkways, driveways and parking lots under the district ownership or control.  This policy applies to all district-owned or leased vehicles and all vehicles that come onto district property.

“Dangerous weapons” include firearms, explosives, knives and other weapons that might be considered dangerous or that could cause harm.

PERSONALLY OWNED VEHICLES AND/OR EQUIPMENT STORED ON HPMD PROPERTY

Due to possible liability responsibilities on the part of HPMD, the Board of Directors approved to no longer allow overnight parking or the storage of personal vehicles and/or equipment on any HPMD property.

HPMD does have the right to have any personally owned vehicles and/or equipment towed at the owner’s expense.  We have contracted with Bailey Towing 303-838-4464.
